This simple blog strategy could make SEO freakin’ easy
Coming up with blog post ideas can be a pain in the butt.
I know… just call me captain obvious, right?
But, I want to give you a strategy that makes it simple. Plus, I think it can go a long way toward helping establish you as an authority in whatever niche you’re in.
As a reference, I point you to a blog post I wrote a few weeks ago:Instant Authority: 5 Simple Strategies To Becoming A Leader In Your Niche (Without Depending On Others)
Specifically, point your attention to strategy #2 on that post. It starts off with:
“Your market has questions. Lots of them. Chances are, they’re going to be asking many of the same questions repetitively, too. Answer them.”
The strategy is simple…
Instead of (or in addition to) creating big guides and tutorials (what a lot of my readers know as Redwood Posts), you instead create blog content centered around simply answering your market’s questions.
We could call it… Q&A blogging. Or FAQ blogging. Whatever.
The headline of the post would simply be the question itself. Then, you answer their question. You can make the content even more engaging (and SEO friendly) by answering the question in video, too.
Now, the great thing about this strategy is that the market is basically telling you ALL THE TIME what their questions are.
Go search for anything in Google and pay attention to the “People Also Ask” section in the results. Google literally tells you common questions being asked in natural language. Here’s one on blog monetization…
You can also use sites like Quora, AnswerThePublic, or even just forums and social media groups to find questions that your market is asking.
And you simply answer them.
Now, here’s the other thing…
There are NO “dumb questions”.
Very large and successful businesses can be built on the basis of simply answering what you might think are “dumb questions”. There is no such thing as a dumb question. Only dumb people who are too arrogant to answer those questions.
You answer questions – simple and tough ones. You answer them in simple, certain and confident ways. That’s what people want.
This strategy can be done in pretty much any niche.
It will help you with SEO… because that’s what Google wants to provide to people. I mean, they wouldn’t have built that question section right into search if it wasn’t important. Besides, with the increase in voice search through Siri, Alexa and Google Home, these kinds of natural language searches are only getting more important.
Now, don’t forget to optimize each post to build your business. Build that list. Have offers at the ready. Because… you don’t want to waste all that traffic you can get by doing this.
